Creative work Project concept

Short-film storyboard builder

Arrange scenes, shot descriptions, and optional generated concept frames before filming.

A specific idea to build and test, not a ready-made template. Starting opens an editable prompt; it does not begin a paid generation.

The useful part

What someone would do.

  1. Outline scenes and shots
  2. Generate optional concept frames
  3. Arrange the storyboard for review

The capabilities behind it

Why Div-idy fits this idea.

Div-idy provides building blocks for this project rather than a separate prebuilt integration for every use case. Here is the role each capability would play.

Interactive interfaces

Div-idy generates React and TypeScript interfaces from plain-language prompts. Forms, filters, calculations, timers, and browser graphics can run in the project without calling an AI model for every interaction.

For this project: Create an ordered shot board with editable notes.

AI image generation

Div-idy's image-generation feature can turn a user's text description into a new image inside a project. A specialized interface can collect the particular choices that make that request more useful.

For this project: Generate new concept frames from shot descriptions.

Browser-local storage

A Div-idy project can use browser-local storage for personal progress, preferences, and working information. This is useful when the tool should work with data on the current device rather than a shared project database.

For this project: Keep the working scene order in the browser.

Make the idea specific to you

Decide these details first.

  • Story outline
  • Camera and framing notes
  • Which frames need conceptual illustrations

Keep the promise realistic

What to check before relying on it.

Generated frames are illustrative and may not preserve character continuity; this feature does not generate a finished video.

Test the full workflow with your own information, including empty inputs, mistakes, mobile controls, and any published behavior. These concepts have not been individually built or verified.

Capability limits for this idea

Interactive interfaces: Generated code checks are not a substitute for testing the actual interactions, calculations, and mobile layout. Arbitrary packages and custom server programs are outside the prepared runtime.

AI image generation: This creates new images; it is not a promise of faithful edits to an uploaded photograph, professional drawings, or a technically accurate representation. Generation uses AI-tool allowance.

Browser-local storage: Browser-local data does not automatically follow someone to another device and can be lost when browser data is cleared. It is not a secure multi-user account system.

Use it where it belongs

Keep it personal, or share it deliberately.

Start in your private project preview. If you publish the interface for others, design it so each person's local working data stays in their current browser. That is not automatic cloud backup or account-based synchronization. Test storage and clearing behavior before relying on it.

Your starting point

A prompt you can make your own.

Build a short-film storyboard builder for a filmmaker planning a short production.

Goal: Arrange scenes, shot descriptions, and optional generated concept frames before filming.

The main flow should let a person:
1. Outline scenes and shots.
2. Generate optional concept frames.
3. Arrange the storyboard for review.

Details I will supply or customize:
- Story outline
- Camera and framing notes
- Which frames need conceptual illustrations

Use these supported Div-idy capabilities:
- Interactive interfaces: Create an ordered shot board with editable notes. Use supported React and TypeScript components and browser APIs. Keep ordinary calculations and interactions deterministic; do not call AI for them.
- AI image generation: Generate new concept frames from shot descriptions. Use the supported image-generation feature with an explicit Generate action, loading and failure states, and a result preview. Describe the result as a new concept image.
- Browser-local storage: Keep the working scene order in the browser. Keep this personal information in the current browser. Explain that it does not automatically sync, provide an explicit clear-data action, and never silently send it to a public record feed.

Important boundary: Generated frames are illustrative and may not preserve character continuity; this feature does not generate a finished video.

Make the layout work on desktop and mobile, with clear labels, keyboard-friendly controls, and useful empty, loading, and error states. Use clearly labeled sample information until I supply real content. Do not invent integrations, secure visitor logins, payments, or capabilities that are not available. Keep the first version focused on this main flow.
