Cookie and Browser Storage Notice
Necessary storage supports sign-in, security, project drafts, and your privacy choice. Optional Google Analytics remains off until you select “Allow analytics.” Refusing analytics does not prevent you from using core Div-idy features.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small text values stored by a browser. Local and session storage are similar browser features. Some authentication and payment providers may also use cookies on their own pages. This notice covers these technologies together.
2. Technologies Div-idy uses
| Category | Purpose and examples | Choice and duration |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Firebase authentication state, security and session continuity, saved project/editor state, migration of older unsafe browser values, and dividy_privacy_choices, which remembers the analytics decision and notice version. |
Required for requested account or service functions. Session values end when the session/browser closes; persistent values remain until their configured expiry, the related purpose ends, or you clear browser data. |
| Optional analytics | Google Analytics identifiers such as _ga and _ga_* measure page visits, referrers, approximate region, device/browser type, and interactions. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are disabled. |
Off by default and loaded only after “Allow analytics.” Google controls the configured identifier lifetimes. Withdrawing the choice stops future analytics loading and Div-idy attempts to remove its first-party analytics cookies. |
| Third-party checkout | Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies on Stripe Checkout and its billing portal for payment, fraud prevention, authentication, and security. | Controlled by Stripe on its pages under Stripe's disclosures and legally available choices. |
| External video | Documentation videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed domain. The video connection is blocked until you select “Load video from YouTube,” at which point Google/YouTube receives your IP address and browser request and may use storage under its own notice. | Each video is click-to-load. Div-idy does not remember the choice across pages. |
3. Make or change a choice
Use the Privacy choices button at the lower-left of a Div-idy page to allow or reject analytics. The reject and allow options are presented together. You can change your selection later. Browser settings can also delete or block cookies and site data, but blocking necessary storage may sign you out or stop requested features from working.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Div-idy keeps analytics off. A later analytics choice is stored with the current notice version so we can ask again after a material change.
4. No advertising cookies
Div-idy does not currently load advertising or cross-site behavioral advertising cookies on its own service pages. A user-created project may link to an external service; the project creator is responsible for notices and choices for technologies they independently add.
