Publishing and sharing
Install a Div-idy web app on your Home Screen
Where app publishing is available, enable an app link in Publishing and share the saved link. Visitors choose to add the web app to their Home Screen through a supported browser. This creates an installed web app, not an App Store or Google Play release, and it still needs an internet connection.
Publish Home and check availability
Open Publishing, make Home live, and find Install as an app. Choose Refresh distribution if the settings are still loading. App publishing depends on platform setup; an availability message means the feature is not ready for this project yet. You can continue sharing the ordinary published page while that restriction remains. Installing cannot make a private page publicly accessible.
Save your app’s identity
Select Enable app link. Set an App name up to 60 characters, a Short name up to 24 characters, and a theme color. Optionally upload a square PNG or JPEG icon up to 256 KiB, or keep the default icon. Choose Save app settings. Check the confirmation before using Copy app link or Open app link.
Let visitors choose installation
On iPhone or iPad, open the app link in Safari, choose Share, then Add to Home Screen; keep Open as Web App enabled if shown. On Android, open it in Chrome and use Install app or Add to Home screen. The available option depends on the browser. A link cannot install itself. Notifications require a separate choice and permission.
See the device instructions from Apple and Chrome if the menu differs on your device.
Verify the installed experience
Launch the new Home Screen icon and test navigation and the app’s main action. It loads published content; saving a private draft does not update visitors until you publish. The app has no built-in offline mode, so test with a working connection. Disabling its app link or withdrawing required published pages can make it unavailable. If installation controls do not work, check the displayed message and try the saved link in a supported browser.
