CityPulse ZA is a civic-tech platform connecting unemployed youth with local government through real-time community reporting. We provide paid opportunities for young people to collect data that helps improve public services and accountability.
CityPulse ZA was founded by Thabang Monyokolo, a chef, entrepreneur, and civic innovator based in Johannesburg. The platform responds to youth unemployment by giving young people paid roles in civic data collection. We believe in local action, public transparency, and youth-driven solutions.
If you're aged 18–35 and live in Johannesburg, CityPulse ZA offers an opportunity to earn income while serving your community. Report local service issues like potholes, outages, and waste problems. No prior experience needed — training and mobile tools are provided.
We submit verified reports to municipal departments and track response rates. Our goal is to help government act faster, reduce service delays, and ensure funds reach the ground. Our data is never for sale — it’s for public good and system improvement.
We collaborate with NGOs, CSI departments, and government agencies seeking measurable impact in youth development and service delivery. Partnering with CityPulse ZA means investing in a working model for civic renewal, employment, and data transparency.
CityPulse ZA enables youth to submit service issue reports in real time. These include blocked drains, streetlight outages, illegal dumping, and broken infrastructure. Every report is geo-tagged and time-stamped to support public service accountability.
We don’t offer charity — we offer dignity. Young people earn through participation, data collection, and verified results. CityPulse ZA is a work-based model that restores purpose, pride, and pay to youth who are often excluded from formal employment.
In a city where youth unemployment is over 60%, public services are collapsing and citizen trust is low. CityPulse ZA is a grassroots response. We connect the people on the ground with the people in power — using verified data and youth-led action.
